Chipper Wood chipper information wanted

Julian,
I watched a guy with a mulch mill working on the highway right of way. I think it might be called a horizontal grinder. He loaded trees and all in the trough and out came chips. Pretty speedy operation. I was wondering if you could find the right guy with the right equipment if it wouldn't make sense to hire someone. Ought to be a lot faster than a month, more like a couple of days. I think the guy I saw works for developers clearing lots.

I too was looking to chip a bunch of trees and brush. The best alternative for me was to have a friend come over with his small excavator and dig a 60'x12'x7' trench. I threw everything into it, covered it up using my bx2200 and its fel and put a vegetable garden on top just in case it settles. Total cost was $100 for friend and excavator.
