Another inexpensive alternative, if anyone is screening loam in your area, the tailings off the screener are usually inexpensive-yeah you get some twigs along with the stone but the stuff works well for the kind of roadway you are dealing with. Operation where I get mine has a primary screen that gets the big stuff out and then a second screen that is basically 2" minus. Works great.
Oh big 10-4 on someones comment on a manure spreader for chips. we have an old one at our fairgrounds-how old?-says "McCormick" in faded letters and the bed is wood!- but its the only way to spread volumes of chips EVENLY IMO
