I Just realized I never updated this thread. This was after we built the barn and I added some High bay LED lights. Glad we went with the upgraded 8x8 post because we were hit by a tornado February of 2020. Barn took some damage to the trusses but being metal we were able to cut out the damaged areas and rebuild them fairly easy considering.

We started on the 22’x60’ Lean to off one side of the pole barn for the horse barn last summer, and about to start back up on it here shortly finishing it all out and closing it in. I decided to do the horse barn myself. I had a particular idea of how I wanted it so I started drawing up rough plans and went with it. The Wood truss beams are 3.5”x12” and held in by some custom 1/4” steel brackets I fabricated up with the seat matching the 2/12 pitch for the truss to sit in. I had everything custom milled from yellow pine (I’ve got to finish staining). The shop will go on the other side of the pole barn in the future.

Thanks for the update. You are getting a lot of square footage for very cost effective approach to building it in sections. I like the idea of just getting the roof done, and then when you have the cash, building walls, or lean-to's.
