Hello again, thank you gentlemen for all of your advice on the water heater It has been in the 100's here where we live this last week, and we have been getting the hay in. Wish I could bottle some heat for winter. BF

Your "average" residential plumber won't have a clue if my experience is any indication.

The average heat and air guy will not know much if any more than the average plumber when it comes to actually ENGINEERING a system. You are lucky to get competent sales and installation troops much less system designers. I got lucky and my heat and air guys were very familiar with hydronics and cold do heat and cooling load analysis not just take averages from tables. They are NOT AVERAGE for rural Oklahoma.
