The Woodland Mills WG24 Stump Grinder has worked exactly as expected. It's gotten heavy use and over time I've rotated under used grinder teeth from the inside towards the outer edge as they've worn, but am at the point where new replacement carbide teeth would be beneficial.

They are available around $100 for 6 teeth from WM, so about $16.66 each with no shipping through end of March.

Has anyone found an alternate source for good quality carbide grinder teeth at a lower cost that will fit the WG24?

What size are the WG24 teeth?

Looking at LA Grinding based on some research, waiting on a Quote.

They were mentioned positively on another tractor forum.

Has anybody here on TBN used their grinder teeth?

Not sure how current this listing is, found a link to it from orange tractor talks...

I know I've knocked rocks, pretty impossible not to around here. Need to swap in the 6 spares I have and order more

All of these 2' diameter pto grinders look like clones of each other, so I wonder if they don't all use the same teeth? Baumalight, Mech Maxx, Northern Tool, Woodland Mills, and probably more selling them by now. I know that that Mech Maxx advertises them at 12 for $130, 18 for $150, and 34 for $240. I have no idea (yet) on the quality of their teeth, and there's always a concern on their shipping time - hopefully no delay for small accessories like this. Site says 10-15 days delivery time, but it still says that for the whole stump grinder too, and they pushed my 10-15 day delivery to 4-5 weeks over 3 weeks ago with no site update on the delivery time.

I think the carbide teeth might be a key area that the quality and price can be adjusted between the different manufacturers.

If I recall, the Woodland Mills unit has 36 teeth...save 3 bucks a tooth, and you can cut your product cost by $100. Not saying some are doing it, but there's a wide range in after-market teeth pricing.

Bit of a coin toss: pay less and replace them more often...or...buy better (higher cost) and replace less often...

One suggestion:
I found the teeth on the inner part of the disk (closest to the hub) are seldom used. It's the outside edge teeth that take the most abuse. (I too have some buried rock.)

It's efficient to rotate the unused inside teeth to the outside edge. If I were starting from scratch all over again, I wouldn't even mount the inner teeth, and rather save them for perimeter replacements.
