Rear Finish Mower Woods 6 ft finish mower on 28hp Massey. Thoughts?

Who is this Abby implement guy? First he starts a post asking if anyone knows anything about Abby implements "cause a guy near him sells them, they look good for the price, much cheaper than others". And now one post later he is telling guys to buy them cause there a good deal? I think this is a spam guy.

Thanks for all of your input guys. The mower is in almost new condition and I bought it Friday for 1200. The blades have barely been broken in and the cut is amazing. It needed nothing other than to be hooked up and run. I mowed my field in an hour and 5 minutes which used to take a strong 3 hours to do. It looks like turf out there now. I'm a happy camper.

I thought my new finishing mower was top notch, wrong! I would at the very least, look in the gearbox. Dip a long screw driver in there and look at the oil. Mine came out milky white, I had to open it up and drain it... or in this case, siphon it off and put in new oil. It did not have a gasket so I made one for it. Should be good to go now...

You will like the Woods. I have put about 3000 hours on Woods rear finishing mowers. Mostly commercial mowing of parks and medians. I bought an off brand before I went to Woods. The off brand was trashed in one mowing season.

If your Massey is 28 engine HP, your PTO HP is probably around 20-24. That's plenty for a 6' RFM. Worst case scenario is if the grass gets too high, you may have to slow down a bit.

I agree 100% with Roy and would add that $1200 seems high for a used Woods 6' mower. You may want to try to bargain with the seller.
