Has anyone put a Woods 7500 hoe with subframe on a JD 790? I need to know where the subframe attaches, and if it will be compatable with my Bushhog loader.
I Called wood earlier this year regarding information on their chippers an pallet forks.
Woods sent me by US Mail a catalog covering the equipment I requested an answered
all my questions...
Herb, regardless of the fact that it will connect to your tractor, I think ground clearance with the subframe
will be an issue. I have the subframe on my 970 which is comparably sized with a 990 and I hate the reduced ground clearance even with the BH off. I think you should consider 6500 hoe with 3pt

I have a Woods 7500 on a New Holland TC29. the ground clearence issue is just a matter of getting used to it, a little practice and its no longer an issue. As for size isn't the 7500 approx. the same size as a JD 7 hoe. The tractor should carry it ok, but the light weight of the tractor might allow the tractor to be thrown around alot while digging. There is a guy down the road here that has a Bush Hog brand hoe about the same size as the 7500 on a JD 790 and that is his only complaint.
