I just got off the phone with my local dealer and he offered me a discounted rate for a Woods BH-70x(New curved design) Grounbreaker hoe with subframe, hose kit, and 16" Gannon bucket for $5700. This seems like a great deal to me. What do you guys think? I have a Cub Cadet 7272 27hp tractor and have been looking for a hoe. Is the BH-80x too big for this tractor. The dealer said the BH-70x will run just fine off the tractors hydraulics and that I could install the unit myself with no problem. How much extra is the capacity of the BH-80x really worth compared to the 70?

Thanx

I do not remember which hoe I was looking at and if I surf sites now I will get booted off the computer, some sort of glitch.

But there is one brand that has a hydraulic thumb, that was about $800 extra over the regular hoe price, I would opt for that.

I can't comment on the woods 70- v 80, but the length of a flat bottom at depth is the distance you can dig before you have to move the tractor. An 8' hoe may have 2-4 foot more of length at depth. That may not sound like much, but it can be a lot of tractor moves!

The rear mount PTO pumps are for operational speed. The pressure of the tractor hydraulics is pretty high, the flow volume is what is low. The BH will have slow operations, but the same power digging when using the tractor hydraulics.
