Woods BH80-X or Kioti KB 2475

I read through the Wood's manual and in the hydraulic plumbing section they are showing a connection to the tractor, do you know if that will work in conjunction with a factory Kioti rear remote kit? It looks like the Wood's plumbing is set up as always on, unlike Kioti that has an A-B and off control. .

Yes, the Woods will work with the Kioti rear remotes. The Woods may be plumbed from the power beyond directly in your diagram but that is only one of the ways of normally hooking up a BH to a CUT. The other is through rear remotes. If you have rear remotes it is more convenient to use them. If you are concerned about deadheading then simply use a short piece of hydraulic tubings with fittings to create a bypass for the remotes whenever you disconnect the BH.

Does the bh80x have the "speed control" valve to slow down or vary the pivot speed? My BH90x does and I do find that useful. My former KB2365 did not have that feature and I don't think any of the Kioti backhoes do.

I think the Kioti branded BHs are fine but at the same cost I'd say the Woods is a better deal.

The Wood's specs do indicate speed control for swing. Just from doing some simple ebay shopping it looks like the Woods hoe is several hundred dollars cheaper than the Kioti hoe, close to $1000 cheaper if comparing the BX70X to the KB2475. The specs for the Woods is better too.

I wonder if all that hydraulic plumbing shown in the manual is included with the hoe? I know the sub frame is separate and was quoted $900 for a Woods sub frame for my CK35.

You have to compare apples to apples. There is a subframe for both the Kioti and the Woods. It would be silly for a dealer to fail to include those in a quote.

By the way, I have had both the Kioti subframe for the KB2365 and the Woods subframe for the BH90x. Both work fine but to my surprise, the Kioti subframe was quicker to hook up. The Woods 4pt subframe requires a bit more "precision" in positioning the tractor. You need to line up all four attachment points simultaneously and the subframe has some tight connections with the BH. With the Kioti is was possible to line up the forward points and only then focus on the rear pins. The slots you aimed for with the Kioti were much bigger too. On the otherhand, to line up the Kioti required getting off the tractor while you can line up the Woods just by looking over the back seat. I seem to remember that it was still a bit quicker (few minutes) getting the Kioti hooked up (especially cheating by operating the HST while off the tractor). The Kioti subframe was much bigger and added about 5 feet to off tractor storage while the Woods subframe stays on the tractor and adds no storage penalty.

I'd personally be happy with either company as far as BH goes. No complaints about the Woods x series but I think the new 24xx series from Kioti is really nice too.

I was considering a Wood's BH when looking at tractors, if I remember correctly both the Woods 80 and 90 had the swing control, the 70 did not.

From the Woods BH80-X Operating Manual, pg. 14 -

"BH80-X SWING SPEED CONTROL
The swing speed control valve is located on the back
side of the console on BH80-X backhoes only. This
controls the speed of the swing cylinders and allows for
easier operation in tight areas. Turn knob to the right to
Decrease swing speed and to the left to increase swing
speed."

Download the manual from - Woods Equipment Company - Manuals - select 'Backhoes' and make your choice.

I have been very happy with my Woods BH80. You might want to check into the Woods LC102 FEL as well. It has MUCH better specs than the KL130.
