Backhoe woods BH90X backhoe

i was wondering what a woods BH90X backhoe costs new and are they well made? anyone have one?

I have a BH80X that I got for $6800 or so. It's a great unit. Relatively easy to mount and use, strong and a very useful tool. The thumb just adds to it's utility.

lots of people have them, they cost lots of money, and they are very well made. pretty much the small CUT gold standard to my mind - above that maybe bradco.

I havea BH90x which I got for mid to high 7000 range as I recall as part of a package that incuded the 4pt subframe mount. I'm just going by memory but that makes sense as they cost about $1000-1500 more than the BH80x. I think you can get pretty good prices on them these days.

It is a very high quality implement. No complaints.

I have a BH90X with mechanical thumb for my NH TC45-DA. The cost for this unit purchased new (2007) and mounted on the tractor with subframe, plus VT tax, was $9400. I didn’t get any bargain on the price from the local dealer, but it has been one of my most satisfactory purchases for transforming my hilly 10.6 acres--for garden creation, leveling an area to store implements, roadside ditching, holding logs up to cut into firewood chunks, removing boulders, and much more. I looked at many other backhoe options and still feel that this was the best choice in my tractor size range for a quality backhoe that had the power to get things done.

I bought a BH90-X from Rosseel's a few months ago-you can't go wrong with them-ask for Dan-he will take good care of you and your order. Mine had to be built by Woods as I wanted the hydraulic thumb-took maybe two weeks and promptly shipped to California. Promise kept.

Nickel Plate, I just inquired about their BH80-X. I imagine the shipping cost is based on whether it's shipped to home or a business. I'm in Ca. too. What was your shipping cost and did you have it shipped to home or a business? Thanks

gumshu, just ask them and they will be happy to quote you a shipping price. As for shipping weight on my BH90-X with hydraulic thumb, bucket, subframe and two pallets it ran around $1000.00 shipped to the shop near Visalia, CA that installed it for me. No sense shipping to my home and then me trailering all of that stuff over to the shop. Besides, the shop had a forklift to unload it.
If you are going to have a shop attach the subframe and backhoe to your tractor, first download the installation manual from Woods and take it over to the shop so they can actually see what it entails labor wise. My shop also called Woods (while I was standing there) and got a labor time frame of around eight hours. It made them feel more comfortable as to the install. As it was, they finished the job in less than eight hours.

This is the best price i could get, the dealer only dropped $200. All I can say is the backhoe is great, especially with the hyd. thumb. I've had no problems, it works great. Just keep it greased and keep on digging.

$3600 drop in price? It shows what competition can do.. I know steel had dropped in price, but I don't think that much? If I could have found one new or USED for $6100 back in '07 I would have a woods instead of something from China.

You don't say where you are from, but a local dealer has a used one for sale (havne't looked at it closely) that seems clean for around $6K. (Western mid NH)
