Has anyone used a Woods TCH4500 chipper before?

What other brands should I look at? I've got a 33 hp tractor. Can I purchase one online and have it delivered?

I think at least some of the Woods chippers are OEM Bearcat machines - I have their 70554 and have been very pleased. I also looked at Wallenstein. All of these machines are very good but pricey.

But as far as price/performance goes you absolutely cannot beat the Jinma 6" chippers - they can be had in the $1,500-$2,000 range and after some initital tune-up of the chinese manufacturing folks on the board love them. I'd recommend you see one before you buy any chipper.

Depending upon the amount and type of work you want to do you may want to look at DR Power DR® Power Equipment - Chipper Models

The 8000 model is an excellent choice. A bit pricey but it will last a lifetime.

I realize this thread is old, but I was wondering if anyone has an experience using this chipper? My local dealer sells these and if they work pretty well, I might pick one up. I'll be using it on a cub sc2400.

Which chipper? The topic was Woods, but it strayed to the chinese junk.

As far as Woods...mine is a 5000chipper/shredder. Very well built machine and doesn't require the constant maintenance of some of the chinese chippers.

Yes, I was talking about the TCH4500. Some of the chinese models are a little heavy for the subcompacts from what I've seen.

SteveinMD, I have a Jinma 6" Chipper. Bought it from Ronald at Ranch Hand Supply. It's heavy, Have about 35 hours on it, Easy to maintain. I had two small issues with it. Ronald had the parts to me in three business days. He's a good guy!!:thumbsup: Buy an extra set of blades.
