Woods to pasture

John-bud and Z-Michigan have given great advice based on the assumption that you want to turn this reclaimed area into a pasture as soon as possible. There is another option if you are more concerned about cost than time or quality of the final product. So long as you keep the area mowed even once or twice a season, grasses will eventually take over and the land will become a field/pasture with wild grasses etc. My own experience suggests that for at least a few years the weeds and potential weed trees will continue to try to reassert themselves but that after that the grasses take control and it really does look like a pasture again. The more you mow the faster it seems to go back to grasses.

I have no doubt that the processes that John and Z described are more professional and "better" but I think it is useful to know that the land will return to pasture even without careful attention so long as it is regularly mowed.
