I asked my dealer about a toothbar for a 66" bucket and he said his cost was $475. The reason for the price was it is supposed to be very heavy duty and made by Woods. Any thoughts?

I paid $300 for my Woods 61" toothbar. I don't know if it is a HD model but I know its done everything I've ever tried to do with it. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I just recently priced a woods toothbar for a 5 1/2 foot bucket and it was $325 for a std bar . It had 7 teeth I believe. You need to find out if the one quoted was heavy duty or standard. There is a company called H & H mfg, that have a website called EZATTACHMENTS.COM . They make a regular toothbar with 7 teeth, then one called the EZ Landscaper Bar...which has teeth spaced every 2 or 3 inches or so. I am wanting a bar that will help me grab up some small tree roots and figured I'd give this bar a try. I plunked down $450 for one yesterday (add some for shipping /tax if applicable). When I get it and try it out...I will give a full report.

WOODS has the TB3000 (weld-on cutting edge) and TB4000 (bolt-on cutting edge) toothbars.

My TB3000 is for a 84" bucket. Should be ready to pickup at the dealer this week - paid $320.

The TB4000 is 18 lbs. more and that is considered the heavy duty model, but is for bolt-on cutting edges.

Sounds very expensive, we sell alot of tooth bars built by WR Long, very heavy units and not that expensive. A std duty ( which is heavy duty )66" tooth bar would run you 265.00 plus freight. Has 8 teeth, pinned on, 1 " thick shank on teeth, weight is 65 lbs.
-The heavy duty model 66" would be 335.00 plus freight, 8 teeth, pinned, 1 1/2" shanks, 131 lbs.
- I would recommend the std unit as it is rated for loaders up to 3500 lb lift capactiy, the heavy duty is rated for 4000 lb lift loaders.
