I know this is going to be a cold winter here. All ready been down too 51 in AM. But warms up to low 90s in day time.
Still have June bugs, the big bright green ones. Usually long gone by now.

Just no predicting that is worth a damm.

Another predictor is the higher the hornets are building their nest the milder the winter. I've seen them high and seen them very low. Not sure of the reason for the variance and it made me curious after hearing this a few years ago. Probably just where they happened to land and start building. :laughing:

Maybe I could get a government grant for a few hundred thousand to study and record their building habits.
