Work Lights GC2310

   / Work Lights GC2310 #11
Hi All,

After sitting in Afghanistan for the last year, I had plenty of time to research the addition of ROPS lights to my 2310. The pictures and installation instructions were invaluable to me, and I thank you all for your time and knowledge.

A couple of notes from my installation:

1) The small red wire with the black stripe is right next to the main fuse box and comes out of a small black single fuse box. I cut it here and spliced in my switch as I did not want to try to chase it through the wrapped wire bundles. It is short here, but doable.

2) I did the installation that Ray2310 used, and the lights (Optilux 800FF) that TX2310 used. I took off the large swivel mount they come with and mounted them below my other lights where they can be turned to face forward or rear, and they do not stick out any further.

3) When fishing the wires up the ROPS for the lights, I used a piece of string trimmer line with the wire taped to the end. It was just stiff enough go through and made the job much easier.

Thanks again to all, I find this site a a great place for knowledge.

Nice setup, very professional job. I don't know how you could
protect the loop in the wire from the light to the hole in the ROPS,
but if a branch hooked it you might have a problem.

Very nice!

Any way to get a larger pic? When I click on the thumbnails I get the same size pic....

Nice to see you still have your original yellow flashers... Unfortunately, mine got whacked one too many times to repair again; replaced them with some (sh-h-h!) Kubota lights!

OH!-- And Welcome Back!

Hi all,

Here are the requested larger pictures of my install. Sorry for the dirt, but I have been building a chicken run and working the loader and hoe quite a bit. This thing is spectacular! Thanks for the kind comments and as always the help.

Buckowens, I see in the 3rd picture you have a rod attached to the splash pan and held by a white cable support, what is it used for and was it supplied with the tractor? Thanks

It was supplied with the tractor (2008 model I believe) and is used to hold the hydraulic hoses. I use it while backing up to the hoe to keep the lines free and clear. I have also used it on occasion to keep the hoses clear while operating the 3pt as they get fouled at times on the lifting arms. I don't remember seeing anything in the manual about it specifically, but will check tonight.

My manual shows it is being used to hold the top link of the 3 point hitch out of the way while you set up the lower links after taking off the BH. How it is shown in the pic is how it is stored. I never thought about using it for the hoses though, that sounds like a good idea.

Wow, I need to read the manual more I guess...:D Thanks for that information.

buckowens-- Here it is holding up one of the hoses, with BH removed... I also use the "built-in" bungee cord.
