WORK LIGHTS

   / WORK LIGHTS #11
Try a set of these lights from Wal Mart if you want to see things cheaply. I bought the large 100 watt halogens for $17.00 apiece. the smaller 55 watt unit facing to the rear were $20.00 for the set. What a difference a little light makes at night. The bar that the lights are attached to is a simple side bed frame rail. I bent the square bolts that attach it to the ROPS. It was pretty simple to make and install. All the grounds are screwed to the bed rail.

Dean,

Yes the two forward facing lights are magnetic ones that I picked up at Wal-Mart last year. They don't seam to stock them at mine this year though as I was looking the other day as I need a replacement bulb for one of my lights.

I had bought the one facing rear as a pair before I found the magnetic ones, so I just ended up using it on the rear.

I take my lights off during the Summer as it's light enough for anything I want to do after work. Of course Winter is another story since it is dark when I get home from work.

If you are interested in my plow setup, you can review this thread from a while back.

Speaking of work lights, I've been meaning to post this update to my "Modified FEL Bucket" post in August:

I've been moving things around at night lately so I decided to add lights to my earlier modification. I added two lights to the bucket support, one on the rear, and a cigarette-lighter socket for additional stuff. The lights are standard off-road lights from Napa Auto Parts. The front and rear lights are controlled by two toggle switches I added to the dashboard. The wiring on the FEL bucket is concealed and protected in 1/2" EMT conduit. The wiring runs along the underside of one of the FEL support arms protected by some salvaged braided-steel pneumatic tubing. It eventually hooks up to the Aux lights wire under the seat.

The standard BX2230 lights just light up the back of the bucket. With these I can easily see everything in front of the tractor. The bucket can be curled to point the lights up or down.
