I wear eat protection when operating my tractor. I enjoy listening to something while doing so. Podcasts are great too - Joe Rogen Experience is one of the most popular for a reason. Spent 10 hours this weekend with a noisy gas pressure washer and Work Tunes made it more enjoyable

Work Music?
It's got to be:

Audio Machine
Thomas Bergersen (2 Steps From ****}
Hans Zimmer

Don't need words...Just gimme the beat!
Out here on the farm it's all about the job.

Got no time for crying about momma, my old truck, the dog
or the drunken ex-wife.
Spare me the country, please.

Although there was a time when it was all I liked.
I've moved on.
I do like country music but lately it has gotten too 兎lectric for me. I dont know how to describe it but its lost its tangy edge for something more soft. I like the 90s country. Now this is only for cutting the lawn as that is relaxing for me.

Ditto with Thomas Bergersen and Two Steps from H*ll. He's my go to music while mowing. Makes mowing my field feel epic.

I don't listen to music while I'm chain sawing, I find it too distracting. It's fine for mowing or splitting wood.

There's an excellent local college radio station that's been around for 50 years. Some of the DJs have been DJing for 30 years, others are brand new. They have their entire playlist online on their own app. You can listen to shows from the last 3-4 weeks. They were really early to broadcasting on line, taking advantage of being in Silicon valley. Lots of different kinds of music, from older country to jazz to reggae to various kinds of experimental. Pretty much any music except the commercial top 40 kinds.

I am a huge fan of Post Modern Jukebox (PMJ).

They play a lot of 'today's music' BUT in 'yesterday's' styles.

"Sweet Child of Mine" as 1930s New Orleans jazz... good Lord, I could go on & on about the different versions/styles of combinations they come up with.

Try this one: Just Like Heaven - Vintage Glenn Miller - Style The Cure Cover ft. Natalie Angst - YouTube

PMJ tours too... I'll be seeing them, for the third time, this October in the Gold Coast, QLD!

So after an hour being sidetracked from this thread, I really like PMJ. Not quite Samantha Fish, but pretty good nonetheless.
