Thanks for the posts everyone. Went to my local JD dealer today, and they had a nice used low hour Gator 620i trade-in unit. Kawasaki gasser which I like, Only 275 hrs, hydraulic dump bed, very clean. According to TractorHouse, I got a good deal at $7k. New pricing (625i) with hydraulic dump would've been $11,500 and only 1 yr warranty, so I think pricing was fair.

LOL that's the faded Wal-Mart special .... Broke the first season, it gets progressively closer to the street for the garbage man, but I keep forgetting! Maybe this'll motivate me to finally throw it away!

Now ... Just need to paint the Gator to match the Massey!

Looks like no Dealers in the West...

Anyone know ballpark price for one?

No dealers around me either :-( ... They do look nice, and they offer a bit more capacity than the Gator too. I'd also be interested in the price for the truck series with a hydraulic bed.

I really like my Kubota 500 too, it has hauled anything and everything I've piled into the bed, bags of cement or firewood,

I don't care what it's rated to haul/pull, I pile into the bed as needed and pull trailers as needed....... but, mostly I keep tools in it as I use it to get places on my property where I have work to do...

My brother has a Kawasaki Mule and a Kubota 900, I like my 500 better because it's narrower and goes down my trails much better/easier...

As for mud, it does pretty good, it's not like a higher powered model that you can slam through bad spots because of speed, but then again I can take that a step further and say that my Yamaha Grizzly 4 wheeler will go where the UTV's won't go too... But, for a work UTV, I'm very happy with my 500.

It's REALLY great that you and a passenger can easily slide into or out of it, my wife just LOVES it! And she'd rather walk than ride a 4 wheeler. lol

From that last thread it looks like about 15K with a few extras. For that price I will stick to the main players as I have no fear that Honda/Kawasaki/Polaris/Kubota/Etc will be around in 10 years when i need parts. Not that there is anything wrong with them but I am just not big on trying out the new guy for 15K when there are a lot of other great options available.
