Yesterday I was finishing some joinery on an outdoor table made from cedar.
All I did was about twenty router cuts and few hand held power planer cuts - and boy did it make me sick.

I never had problems with the cedar dust - for the big planer I have a dust collector. We have a lot of rain coming through and the shop door was closed and I didn't realize how much dust is flying around, I don't know. But all night I felt like something is stuck in my throat I can't loosen up.

But the table is turning out very nicely - silver lining, right?:D

I wish you were closer to me! I have an old "petrified" cedar tree out in a field down from the house. It's bleached whitish-gray and hard as a rock it's been there so long. I'd pay you to cut it down and make a table for me with the wood.

Bummer...
