Oh, we also have wild asparagus along our highways. Especially in the clover leafs. I've seen people picking it often in spring.

Can anyone tell what size cats they are?

D8's twin stick, twin pedals, no joystick controls. Takes a skilled operator. Probably last forever (undercarriage) too as they aren't being used for their intended purpose, bulldozing and heavy excavating . Not much brake steer going on.

Looks like it...Lionel was the only one with three rails on their tracks...

Marx and a few others used and still use 3 rails and AC power. (MTE, others) Wiring 3-rail track is simpler esp with turnouts. Insulated frogs allow power across an axle to energize any remote/electric turnout to avoid derailing. Origin was to provide rugged (if not true to scale) trains that kids could keep on the rails and cauld handle being set up over and over, say seasonally. (I started in the '50s)

For me it was always a matter of trackage per sq foot. Toys vs 'to scale'.
