SS Badger is in Manitowoc to Ludington the sister ship Spartan is in Ludington which they use for parts, I've been told, Lake express is A higher speed fair weather cat running Milwaukee to Muskegon, rode both. Also watched them load huge windmill towers and blades in the badger about 10 years ago for transport across the lake, pretty cool watching that.

The Badger runs from Ludington. We've stayed in a hotel right next to the harbor a few times. The Spartan is sitting there for spare parts.
Badger is now considered part of U.S. 10.

I noticed an aerial pic from google earth of the railyard south of Midway airport in Chicago is about completely empty. Very strange.

I looked on Google Earth to see how far paving a rails to trails went in either direction beyond the ~15 mile stretch I'm familiar with. The view showed tracks intact still in place leading out of the county.

Could a worm-hole to another dimension (time/space-offset, etc) have passed between the satellite and the yard at the time of exposure?

Then again, can we rule out aliens, foreign interference, or fake news on that? .. at least 'til the next train does arrive?

The Milwaukee Clipper ran between Milwaukee and Muskegon, MI. Maybe that was the one you were thinking of?

I rode the Badger as a young kid in the late 80s. Thought it was the coolest thing ever anytime we could drive a car onto a frickin boat!

But the coal/steam powerplant really does need to be retired. Noxious emissions, and they dump the coal ash right into the lake! gross. Crazy how the Spartan is just sitting there in Ludington; so much steel.
