A coupe of years back, I caught the WMRR Baldwin #734 exiting the Brush Tunnel:

I was riding my bike at the time and the trail shares the same tunnel. Luckily, I saw it coming and pulled up in time. The tunnel isn't a pleasant place to be with a passing steam locomotive!

Any interesting story and history behind the historical marker one in Hancock? Lake Linden? Might go to the small historical museum in lake linden next summer.
jeff, I'm not sure what you are asking....

In Hancock there's an old steam locomotive near the waterfront, in lake linden there's a few old rail cars, specialty track maintenance and snow clearing equipment and I believe a old steam locomotive in one of the barns? All on
the museum grounds. museum is not far from the abandoned sand dredge. Just wondering if there's any local inside story to either?

I don't know of any engines stored in Hancock. There is some up the hill at the Quincy site. In Lake Linden there is a nice museum there with a bunch of copper era industrial items. They had a operated steam engine but they had to retire it recently.

I believe it's this? take a right off the lift bridge along the waterfront, fenced in former Northern Pacific locomotive? unsure if it's still there though.

I commend the locals up there for preserving a lot of the history. Scrappers in the city would think they won the lottery lol.

I believe that was taken at the Quincy smelter and going by memory some years ago gave a locomotive to a museum out east.
