So that’s just a sign or a prop for the quarry placed there? Not an abandoned railroad?Keeping with the RR theme, here's an old Monon car full of stone that sits outside of a quarry south of Francesville, IN.

The railroad runs parallel behind the quarry on old Monon trackage. That RR car is an old Monon car and sitting on a section of track they placed there perpendicular to the road for advertising. Just a piece of local history. So that’s just a sign or a prop for the quarry placed there? Not an abandoned railroad?
Our local quarries are served by rail, but one pulled up the tracks and the other rarely sees a railcar.
I've probably been by it 30-40 times between the 9 years our kids attended Purdue. That is a long, straight, 2-lane road. A lot of small towns to go through, and flat land. Kinda peaceful if you're not in a hurry.Been past that before.
