What you said before is this is something with ears, not what comes on the tractor. It is an alternate part. If it is just the standard part, then the dealer should 100% take one off of a unit in stock.

The point being this part was not a stock part for your unit and if new, would not be in the supply chain in quantity because failure rates are not high.

Again, it really sucks this happened to you. I feel partly responsible. I still see the root problem being the Iowa dealer.

I have an LS MT250, 2 1/2 years with 178 hrs.and very satisfied with it.

You have already found that dealer support is a make it or break it decision, my dealer is only 25 miles down the road and easy to work with.

If there was not a local (under 50 miles) LS dealer I would have made a different decision we have 3 JD dealers inside 30 miles. The price difference for a JD was a deal breaker.

I see the confusion. My initial concern was the banging in the front end. Then I found the FB article about the snap rings in both front hubs that had "ears" that were defective and had been replaced by a newer version.

When the 2nd dealer tore our front end apart they found metal shavings everywhere throughout the axle. They also found the metal in the front left hub extremely thin with a jagged hole in it:

This is the part we are waiting on now. Not your fault Torvy, you and others gave the best personnel experience information you had. I am concerned that all of us are driving around with thin walled hubs like this one, but even if they fail I don't think they will cause the loss of the wheel like the clips would...fwiw, this tractor DID have the new clips vs the old "dog eared" ones so TYM has already corrected that problem in newer builds.

To your point, I guess it is good they don't have the part in stock because maybe the failure rate is not high...but 6-7 months is still too long for any part IMHO...my berco dealer had to wait that long for the foward/reverse switch for his big 5 series TYM last year.

TYM? I searched "tmy tractor" and got returns for TYM. I swap letters when I type (I'm not dislexkik, I sware), so that's what I thought he meant.
