Can you image how many murders there would be if everyone in the world was made to live in texas with only that much room? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Its like the mice in the aquarium experiment, even with unlimited food and good sanitation, there is a density where they just start killing each other.

I feel we are over populated here in Boundary Co. We are the furthest norther county in Idaho on the Canadian and Montana borders.

We have 1269 sq. miles and a population density of 7.8 people per sq mile. When I go out into the woods I am afriad I may see another person that day. Traffic is terrible as we have two stop lights in the county and I saw two boats on the river last year, one was a seach and rescue boat.

The city I live in has 656 people, a post office and a little store/gas station. This little metropolis is getting to crowded for me.

Please, please don't ever consider this over populated part of the world as you will just be adding to the already over burdened stresses on our lifestyle /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Can you just imagine how many murderers would actually be getting and experiencing the death penalty in Texas, instead of a free ride from the taxpayers in most other states? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

but seriously folks,
i think plumboy nails it. we don't usually notice some of the effects of 'overpopulation', cause we live in the land of plenty. one interesting item is oil. our costs have gone up significantly, one of the reasons is demand has increased significantly...in China. China is now the number two cunsumer of oil in the world, and growing. take a huge population like that and raise the standard of living and now we're dividing the pie more ways. some would argue oil is a finite resource with questions of peak oil, etc.. but, in theory anyway, increased demand and reduced supply (eventually no supply?), could effect the level of population dramatically. it's a weird thought. so much of our system depends on oil: transportation, food supply (petro chemical fertilizer, insecticides) allowing us to sustain a bigger population, what would happen with diminished supply...population control?

zit,
how's your tractor? How would it run in the size of the "average american home"?
do you work for the ncpa.org? Which office do you work in? Dallas or D.C.? Your DNS registration records don't jive with what's posted on your website as the office location.
Are you really trying to tell us we should all buy small grey market CUTs since we'll all be moving to TX soon? That's OK, I've always wanted to visit TX.. latr -art

From the organization you seem to be promoting: The National Center for Policy Analysis (NCPA) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan public policy research organization, established in 1983. The NCPA's goal is to develop and promote private alternatives to government regulation and control, solving problems by relying on the strength of the competitive, entrepreneurial private sector. Topics include reforms in health care, taxes, Social Security, welfare, criminal justice, education and environmental regulation.

[Emphasis added]

That doesn't sound too nonpartisan to me. Zit, my question for you is simple: Did you join TBN for the sole purpose of posting political material?
