I searched in the collective wisdom of the archives, but did not find anything on this topic.

My wife is an organic gardener and poulterer (poultrist?). She wants to try a worm farm to make castings and/or "soup" for her garden, but it sounds like quite an undertaking. Apparently you must keep the little buggers in controlled temperature and humidity, which may be difficult in the Texas summer. I'm not excited about having them in the house; if they can live in the insulated tractor bay of my shop then fine, but I'm not going to cool it for them.

I've been amazed before at the knowledge base here in TBN; does anyone have any experience with worm farming, and if so do you have any advice for a beginner?

Thanks in advance,
Pete
