That is the truth. I bet 60% of them around here do. My 05 ate bulbs and a few times I would be told it's out and I would go to change it and it was working....

I believe it, gm seems to have an issue with electrical connections. I have quite a few small quirks with both my suburban and my impala that are caused by bad contacts, either switches or plugs.

I've seen the same on GM, but some other brands too.

The liquid brine they use on the roads here is eating EVERYTHING. I recently talked with a guy who's buddy owns a heavy-truck shop north of here - they are seeing highway tractors not even a year old coming in..... not only are the lights on the back of the tractor out, the wiring is rotted out 4' up the harness !

I use some form of dielectric grease on every electrical connection, partly because of our "early-retirement" salt program here....

My GM pickup had a headlight burn out last year. I didn't think that was too bad for a 1994 vehicle. It was dead easy to replace too.

Time marches on...... the engineers who managed to sneak through those user-friendly designs are either fired, retired, or passed on.

Probably because the owner can't figure out how to install a new bulb.

Or maybe the Fords end up in the scrap yard before their bulbs burn out , and the GM's and Rams are still running even with one bulb ten years later.............
