How much help did you need to get out of that?

How much help did you need to get out of that?
We actually got the hoe out all by itself, kinda. Hooked a couple of nylon straps to some large oaks just up the hill that we could pull to. Got the machine reared up first and shoved about 6 trees under the tracks to crawl on using the 299d. After everything was in place we crawled it out in about half an hour but took a good 6 hours to get to that point and figure out what would and wouldn't work.

Here's another

That is very scary. I am getting clostraphobic thinking about being trapped with nobody around.
Glad you had someone looking out for you with the means to rescue you.

I wonder what that trailer actually is? I also can't believe that the 90 on that arm doesn't break when pulling close to retracted position.

I just came accross this by accident and thought it was cool and kind of different.

I'm totally amazed that the towing rig isn't moving.

I noticed that only one front was spinning on the Deere - I don't know why but I thought when you got to tractors that size you could lock both the front and rear axles. Seems like it would be a good idea, at least at that farm....

I noticed the same thing. At that point though, I'm thinking it would have made little difference and might as well spare the expense and complexity. Many farmers still shy away from the expense of MFWD and a def lock just makes it worse.

What you need is little, lightning fast robotic fingers that scoop the mud out from between the tire treads. Those tires looked EXACTLY like my turf tires in mud!

I saw that the just other day....
That is a “hook lift style” trailer that we use in roll off trucks in the states to haul dumpsters.
Some are rated for 60,000 pounds.
The straps would break before the arm. I was surprised the pull tractor was able to hold its ground.
