Worth of my 990 for insurance purposes

Tractor blue book isn't bashful ..... $75.00 for the guide. My dealer has all kinds of value books. I can use his free.
I think one can go overboard on insurance. I would ask the agent what the company would pay in the event of a loss. My home owners covers mine and I am good with that. In this economy I can find many high priced items to spend money on besides " what if " situations.

Yes homeowners will pay for some things but once you leave your property homeowners will not cover it anymore. Also homeowners will not cover it if a tree falls on it or if lightning strikes it etc... I leave my property and help other neighbors. Thus no coverage. Insurance for the tractor will only cover it for its worth at the moment. So if you insure it for too high of an amount you will have to pay the extra on the premium and if only get what it is worth and if you under insure it you only get the amount you insured it for. So you really want to find out what the true worth of the tractor is based upon its age, its hours and what capabilities it has. That is what I am seeking to do. The premium will be about $150/year.
