Steer clear from anything that you don't have a local dealer for or at the very least one you could get there within a couple of hours drive time, buying parts off of the internet works sometime but a lot of times they will be non-existent, $3500.00 would be great if it ran for 5 years problem free, but bare in mind , Made In China, and they don't have the best track record on turning out good tractors.

Not for me. I still think it has no value if you can't get parts. Certainly not a $3500 gamble. Put that money towards something that a dealer can actually get you parts and service stuff for

Good friends don't try to get you to pay for boat anchors (unless you're actually in the market for a boat anchor).

Longer term, I'd reconsider the friendship; shorter term, I'd say "no thanks".
