- Kubota B8200, then a Kubota L3130 HST, now a Kubota L3400 HST
Well, the guy raising the price would p**s me off. This jump in price isn't explained by taxes and other fees, is it?
I don't know if I would worry too much about the dealer being close, if you will do your own fluid and filter changes. Either tractor is likely to be pretty hassle free, if they are typical- and not abused by first owners. 620 hours is not a lot, really. You didn't mention rear remotes or other "extras" that are handy to have on either machine, like SSQA loader.
HST is a very handy feature, and most of us, once we've used it, would not want to go back to regular gear drive. Perhaps, since you have a viable option, simply offer the Kioti guy his original price plus maybe $500 for his painting, and if that doesn't fly, tell him thank you, very much, and good-bye. A new blower and warranty sounds good to me. If the mower is also new, that's a plus. A new post hole auger might be had for well under a $1000 CD, I would imagine. Using a post hole auger with a cabbed tractor poses its own challenges, I think.
