Would You Go These Miles On Low Price For A Zetor?

Lost a coustomer one time to a dealer 250 miles away from me over $150.00.

He had a warrenty issue with that machine about a year later. He wanted me to do the warrenty work, the dealer who beat my price was long gone....HUMMMM.

I did the warrenty work eventually, but his machine did NOT go to the front of the line.
We were about 4 weeks behind in the shop with MY coustomers.
MY COUSTOMERS, whom I take care of, RIGHT NOW!

Everyone looks for the best price. That includes me.
Several thousand dollers would find me going somewhere else for the same machine.

Just my 2 cents worth...

I would just double check you are comparing apples to apples and then good luck with who ever you buy from.

Sounds like everyone has spoken but it is hard to make a choice on such a large amount of money, but for that amount of savings you can find many people today to take the tractor
to the dealer and bring back several times for the amount of saving that you are getting, but if it is small things that dont effect the tractor or you, you could wait before the warranty
is up then send it to the dealer that you bought from and have everything fixed at one time and then all you will pay for is one trip, but with the Zetor you wont have any problems
they are trouble free. With one trip you will still come out thousands cheaper. Just keep the dealer informed with any problems so they can take care of you.

Wondering if you bought a tractor yet not much has been said
for awhile on this post, if you did buy a tractor what did
you get and where. Not much going on here on the Zetor,Century and Branson board. Lets make people aware
of these good tractors. Good luck on what ever you decided.

On 02/18/05, I bought a new 4341.1 Zetor tractor with cab, with 4X4, with shuttle, and with a 102SL loader. So far, I haven't used this tractor and loader very much. This past Saturday, I used the tractor and loader to remove some small logs and pieces that was left in one of my fields after some logging had been done, and the tractor and loader did a very nice job. This tractor has a very nice cab on it, and it is a very large cab for a 55 PTO tractor. Also, this tractor is a very heavy tractor for a 55 PTO tractor. The tractor weight is 7,520 pounds without fluid in the tires.

If anyone else on this board has bought one of these tractors and loaders, I would like to hear your pros and cons about the tractor and loader. Thanks!

PS: I would like to hear your pros and cons on any size Zetor tractor with loader, or without loader, or any other piece of Zetor equipment on the tractor.

Congrats on your new tool!

You need to add the weight of the loader to the tractor +2000 lbs.

Mid March will be the 1st anniversary with mine. Only problem was 1 cell in battery failed & dealer replaced no problem.

I did modify a few things when I did the 50 hr service. Took off outside mirrors & added inside convex. Added radio CD player, voltmeter and cig lighter for cell phone charger.

I would say by all means buy the tractor if there is that much difference in price. However, when the local "high priced" dealers say that there is "no way", they are speaking from their own frame of reference, which is that they know what the regular cost of a tractor has to be to all dealers, regardless of territory. I am a wholesaler, who sees the other side of this business, and I would say that on the surface there is a very unusual situation going on here. I'm not saying don't buy where you can get the best deal, but this deal does not smell right. Your local dealers, I would say with almost 100% certainty, aren't making that kind of money. We have had tractors stolen and reappear hundreds of miles away, for sale at a fantastic price. I'm not suggesting that this is the case here at all, just be sure to check the origin, the validity, and the complete reason why this one dealer is so very much cheaper. There has to be a reason, and if it's a valid one and he can prove it, by all means it is worth the trip.
Good luck with your venture.

Dear Cabinholler,
So sorry about my earlier post. I didn't read every post, and later realized that you had already purchased the tractor. Congratulations on getting "YOUR deal"! What I said earlier was just in generalizations anyway, but I am still curious why there was so much difference in price. At any rate, good luck with your purchase. Zetor is a good, solid tractor (I don't sell them, but have been around them for years, as have many on these boards, and you should have no major concerns.)
Again, my apologies for my earlier comments (sometimes it pays to READ!:) /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I don't know how this dealer that I bought my 4341.1 Zetor tractor with a 102SL Zetor loader on it sold me this tractor for so much less money than other dealers that I checked with.

Yes, I bought this tractor at a Zetor dealership, and it was not stolen. One thing that I have learned shopping around for farm tractors, and farm implements is that when a buyer puts down cash money, some dealer is going to take him up on it.

The dealer that I bought my tractor from said he buys all his tractors and implements for cash money, and sells them to his customers as cheap as possible. He told me most tractor dealers floor planned their tractors and implements. I don't know if this is true or not, but if they do, who is going to pay for the extra money that the dealers has to pay for these plans. The person like me, that buys the tractor and implements. Always, the extra money that a dealer has to pay for their tractors and implements will be passed on to the customer.

Before I bought my tractor, I had been tractor shopping all winter. It sure paid off in the long run. I saved a lot of money by doing my homework.
