What John said, I still have a BX2200 and now have to have one of my sons install/uninstall the deck, but on concrete, it's really not an issue. My sons don't even bother to rotate the wheels like I did, they just slide it out.

Ok, sounds easy enough.. Thanks Guys. Dad said he would call me in the spring when he is ready to put it on... no big deal.

I strongly suggest getting some protection for the HST fan, very easily broken, I have Bro Tek on both mine. The good news is fan replacement on the BX2200 is much easier than later models.

Thanks for the tip... if it were mine i would heed your advice... being my dads. You gotta know my old man.. he don't spend a dime on preventative especially with a fixed retirement income. I can't even get him to let me change the fluids in it.... I'm cringing at him not changing them on a 15 year old tractor.

Solve two issues with one action or lack of action. Never take the deck off which solves the removal/install issue while protecting the fan with the deck. I never bought any extra protection on any of mine but I kept the MMM on all that had MMMs. The BX25s didn't have MMMs but came with some additional protection, I think or looked that way when I looked under mine.

I can sure identify with that, my father in law didn't service his machines. I used them occasionally and serviced them myself. He took good care of his cars and trucks, but once the tractor showed up, he just put fuel in them and added oil as needed.

John, I am the poster boy for Murphy's Law, the MMM offers pretty good protection, but mine got broken with the MMM installed, very rare but it can happen. My best solution now is one BX with which to mow and one for FEL, rotary cutter, box scraper etc., long story.:)

The first drive-over deck on a BX is with the 70 series. You'd know by the ramps atop the deck, and the rear gauge wheels pivot back. No others were drive-over... look at the the plastic belt guard covers.

To ease the deck removal, I used to lift the front end with the loader. Buy some small three-wheeled furniture dolly cups (about $5 apiece) and lower the deck gauge wheels on them. The deck rolls right out.
