Would your wife notice if you got a new tractor?

My wife would definately notice. But then again she was the one that wanted me to sell my old tractor and buy a new cab tractor. Got tired of seeing me looking like a popsicle after Using the snowblower. Shes great with finances, and she's the reason were debt free now. Her and Dave Ramsey that is.

I have actually given my wife, the exact same Christmas card, 6 years in a row now.

The idea came to me one year, when I was buying her card.

It's not that I am cheap. It just seems like a waste. I was spending $4-$5 every year, for a card, that says the same thing, and we were throwing them away right after Christmas.

I bought a whole box of envelopes with the last card. And, right after Christmas, I grab it, put it in a new envelope, and hide it for the next year.

Not sure how long this is going to last. But, I do have 44 more envelopes.

Thinking about doing it with birthday cards now too.

So, no, she would not notice, if I bought a new tractor.

That's like me and my wife. She's generally pretty good with finances. I have to admit, it's all because of her that, today I am a millionaire. On the other hand when I met her, I was a multimillionaire.

LOL. To each their own situation. For me, I was hand to mouth when we met and for the first year or two while we had a common checking account, we were going downhill from there. As a result of having separate accounts, we are now multi millionaires. Sooooo,,, I don't care how many pairs of shoes she has and she could not care less how many tractors I have. No secrets between us, just don't care.

My wife is very observant and even if she doesn't know a CUT from a SCUT she sees things. My question is if you can afford another or newer tractor why?? do you want to keep it from your wife? I she just a nag or is there something else? If you have a lot of disposable income and it doesn't make any difference on the family budget?? I don't understand, there must be more to this.

When I went out and bought my SCUT my wife never said a word. Of course I bought her a piece of jewelry that was worth about half of what the new SCUT cost with implements. When ever I buy myself something that is a significant cost I always make sure my wife gets something she wants.
