Wow--Biggest planter I have ever seen

On the way to a farm show I happened to pass a JD dealership that had this planter on display in the front yard. Sorry for the small photos but it is so big I had a problem getting the whole thing in the picture. This is as close as I could get to get all the rows in. Pulled by a pretty big tracked JD and I'll bet the whole package is $450,000, give or take.

Definatally a massive beast.

I caught a glimps of it driving by the other day from affar, and MAN it was HUGE.

I drive past that dealer often. Plenty of big JD equipment parked out front. Only place I have seen that many brand new combines parked side by side.

Strange thing is that, that large of a planter doesn't really have a place in Ohio. At least not central Ohio. Heck, we have feilds that it would not even make a round in. It would probably be great out in the plains though. I'm sure it was just a demo John Deere sent JD for the farm show.
