Wow, got a pleasant surprise today !

For the past 10 years ,when I plow my drive , I plow my neighbor's drive . Takes maybe 15-20 minutes ,and I enjoy doing it .
They always are appreciative , and that's enough payment . Today I was over just visiting with them , and they hand me two gift cards,one for Lowes ,one for Red Lobster . ($50 each )
Didn't really know what to say other than thank you . But it was a wonderful surprise !

Kudos to your neighbors! In spite of the smile that I'm sure is on your face every time you play ... er work with your tractor on their driveway, they get it! You are lucky to have them and they are lucky to have you.

I do the same thing for the widow down the road. And yesterday she surprised me with a $100 check. She never asked me to do and it only takes a few minutes. I do is for the satisfaction that I'm making her life a little easier and I feel good doing it. Not to mention I get more seat time on my tractor.

Wow, real money! I get paid in hamburger here, pork there, and for caring for a guys livestock when he had his hip replaced, I got a half of beef. Only once do I remember getting cash or its equivalent but darn do my wife and I eat good.

I clear snow for 8 neighbors - no cash ever involved. One of the return gifts is a nice uptick in my heating oil account balance. People are great - it all works out fine - and without a government's nose anywhere near it.

I've cleared snow for my neighbor's for years. I've got a few nice things for doing so. But mainly it is about doing the right thing.
