WOW I am 100 today!

Started up the L3130 this morning and noticed the hour meter went to 100. And of course the littler service engine light came on.
I must say that this tractor today is still the greatest thing I have ever purchased. I am still impressed by the smooth and quiet operation of this tractor. The little beast has plenty of power and sips the fuel. What more could a man ask for?

BUT.....the last few times I have used her it never fails a bird will fly by and crap on the hood!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Here I thought it was your Birthday! I turned 49 today. Congrats on the 100 tractor hours anyway.

Fortunately a 100 in this case is virtually no time at all. Your 3130 is just barely broken in. My 3430 turned 200 a couple of weeks ago.

Like you I too am disgusted at what our flying friends can do to the outside of our precious tractors. However, I take even more umbrage at that stuff hitting me. Consequently, I purchased my 3430 with a cab and a good windshield wiper.

That's why you have to keep a couple of coats of wax on that hood! It's the single nicest panel on the macine and it looks great when it's waxed. I actually polished mine with a bit of abrasive cleaner first, then applied a couple of coats of good wax...Looks awsome and the birds can't hurt it.

That's funny. I rolled a tree stump over onto my hood at 10 hours. It's now the worst-looking panel on the machine. The dent makes a nice place to keep my gloves and hat though /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
