Wrecked my truck yesterday

I agree. Lawyers are the last resort in my eyes. I am not looking to get rich off the deal but I want to be made whole again. If they try and screw me over I won't hesitate to get one but so far it seems like they are going to be fair. Their adjuster looked at my truck yesterday and I am supposed to hear their number today.

Yes. Sorry for the lack of follow up. It actually worked out pretty well. The adjuster was really easy to work with. They ended up giving me nearly 10k for the damages and loss of value. I made a deal with a local dealer and traded my truck in as is (wreck damage still there) for a 2016 GMC Denali dually. I had to throw in 16k so after the insurance check I had to pay 6k out of pocket but I got a brand new truck, 1 model year newer, and a dually.

All in all I don't think it was a bad deal because I drove my 2015 for a year and put 21k miles on it. I liked my truck and wish it wouldn't have happened but all things considered it worked out ok.

I am also glad it worked out for you but I am kind of curious why you didn't buy another Ford? Not trying to start anything, as I feel both are excellent trucks so all in the sidelines can stand down.

I was happy with my Ford. No problems out of it. 3 out of my last four trucks have been Fords and the other was a Dodge. I am not brand loyal haha.

I drove both the 2016 and Ford's and GMC's and I just kind of liked the GMC better. I have a feeling it might not be as "tough" but it sure seemed more comfortable to me. I trade trucks every 2-3 years anyway so I will be rid of whatever I get before the warranty is up so any problems with them are just a hassle and not something I have to pay for.

Another reason I did not go with Ford was there was zero change between the 15 & 16. The "new" truck feel isn't as good when the truck is basically identical to the one you had before at least on the interior.

I will add the GMC is getting about 2 MPG better than my Ford did which is impressive because the Ford was 3/4 ton and the GMC is a 1 ton dually.

New truck is the black one. The white one is the one that was wrecked. I couldn't find a picture of it with my flatbed this one was taken the day I got it.
