Hope I am not "old news" with this thread, but I will say the JD is overpriced for the hydraulic capacity it has and the lack of a three point hitch, but it will out-do many a SCUT in performance. I had one and loved it. It was strong, rode well and performed everything I asked of it, it just would not operate more than one attachment at a time, and did not offer good hydraulics. It was, though, quite well-engineered and I thought a super machine. The key is what one is going to do with the machine: My 595 would pull a BB as well as anything its size on the market; it plowed snow marvelously, and would tear up the ground with a rear tiller. It had a marginal loader and could not operate the box blade and loader at once, which was its shortcoming. If that type work is important to the buyer then go with the BX, or equivalent, but if super engine and drivetrain performance in a small package is the goal, the X595 is VERY tough to beat.
