Don't know for sure but assume this is the next phase? :confused3:

Phase 3: Make SwitchLinc (aka shed switch) a Responder.

Step 1. What does "controller button" mean? Is it referring to the on/off paddle? Which Controller LED will start blinking? The switch has 8 LED lights.

Step 2. If the SwitchLinc (aka shed switch responder) is tapped on does that mean a link is not desired since tapping it off is "for the link? :confused2:

Note: Is a one-way or two-way link needed?

Phase 3 didn't work. Don't even know if Phase 3 is defined correctly? :confused3: I contacted the smarthome.com forum to seek expert advice. Despite 3 days of trying, they were unable to create a link between the two 2477S switches. The good news is that a 2477S has the ability to communicate with a X10 controller. The house has the old X10 controller and the shed has a new 2477S (which replaces the defective X10 responder). Not a perfect solution but at least can now control the flood lights from both the house and shed without flood lights mysteriously turning themselves on, that was the mission.

That's kinda weird that they can't link, yet the X10 works. If the X10 works, there's a good path in the wiring. I'd have to read more of the documentation on the product.
