x570 steering?

I'm having second thoughts about buying the x354 and I'm looking at x570. I thought I'd need the power steering w/ the 354: 4 wheel steer because of reviews from users w/ back problems. Now I find I need to worry re/ fail reports on K46 tranny in x354; whereas the K72 in x570 is serviceable and also has diff. lock (and I want a real garden tractor).
I'm now wondering if the lack of power steering on the x570 would be a problem in light of the fact that it wouldn't have the 4 wheel steering which I'm not sure about anyway. Am I (with a compromised back) or my wife (pretty strong) likely to have difficulty steering the 2 wheel drive with no power?
I'm also weighing the $ saved by not going a power steer model in the x500 series.
I need to decide this before tomorrow 05/31/2016 when deal ends at JD so I can change order.

I have a x310 with the power steering and 42" mower. I had a JD 314 without PS but with a 48" mower. I didn't care about the PS; I wanted the hydraulic deck lift, but now I find the PS amazing. It cut 1/3 off the time to mow my 1/2 acre hilly lawn with lost of obstacles. It is very easy to wheel it around things. My advice: go for the PS. I think both the x310 and the similar new x370 both have a serviceable tranny, too.

A no brainer, steer clear of the K46. The K72 is a ground engagement hydro. Power steering is nice, but no a necessary option. The 354 is a lawn tractor, whereas the 570 is a garden tractor. The upgraded hydro is well worth it.
