X590 lift arms stuck?

This is a weird one; our x590 has never had a serious problem. But I had to take the mowing deck off tonight to reinstall the belt, which had come off one of the rollers. Something seemed strange, though; the deck wasn't going all the way down to the ground....wt...?. I did get the deck off with some extra effort, reinstalled the belt and all that. But long story short, the lift arms -- they are hydraulic -- seem stuck, and only go up and down a little bit. I can't get them to go all the way up or all the way down.

I decided to sleep on it and take a closer look tomorrow. Maybe something stuck somewhere and is impeding them? Has anyone run into this, and what did you do, or what would you suggest?
