I have a 2001 X595 with the 62C mower deck and about 1050 hrs and had my first break down. I was mowing the back yard at my church and all of a sudden, the tractor just died. I first looked at the temp gauge and it was fine. I then noticed a large wet spot all around my left front tire area. I got off the tractor and upon looking closer, the wet spot was diesel fuel. I opened the hood and noticed that the front fuel line on the fuel filter had seperated from the housing. The hose was still connected to this fitting if that is what you would call it. I was able to push this (90 degree) fitting back into the filter and it kind of snapped back in like maybe it was pressed in to begin with. I then took a zip tie and wrapped it around the top of the filter housing and the fitting to keep the fitting in place. It took a few times trying to start the tractor as it had to prime it's self. It worked fine after that. I did order a new filter which the dealer just called and said it was in. I did need a new filter as the shut off value wasn't working probably from lack of use. Dealer said he had never heard of that happening before and I was just wondering if any one else has had this happen?
