Has anyone adjusted the slide rails for the JD739 seat. The owners manual says to remove the four bolts connecting the rails to the tractor body. But, since you cannot see the underside of where these four bolts come through the tractor body, my concern is there is a nut on the underside that could fall off and not be accessible. Also, is the slider on the front side of where the seat rails attach somehow fastened to the tractor body and not fall off when the front two bolts are removed.

I just don't want to try to adjust the seat for more leg room and cause a real headache of not being able to reattach the rails.

Thanks for any help.

at a price of "Starting at: $13,019.00*USD you'd think it would have an easily adjustable seat, and not an insane method needed for changing the oil.. I saw some reviews on this.. I'd suggest if the tractor falls apart by following their instructions, make a complaint to the corporate headquarters of JD, although they may just ignore you!..

I made the adjustment today as the Owner’s Manual stated, and it went smoothly. The whole process took about 20 minutes, and it did give me the needed leg room.

That oil change mess was just on 1 year of this tractor and the company did listen and they changed that. Now draining the oil requires NO tools and takes less than 5 minutes.
