X728 hydraulic problem

Thank you very much for your help and you called it right. I had the hoses hooked up to the right color connector but they were the wrong two hoses.

I only use the lift on the quick hitch when using the snowblower. I connected the green and gray hoses when I should have connected the green and black. I was connecting the hoses in pairs instead of all four at the same time and I was using the wrong pairs.

DOH! It sucks getting old.

OH yeah, that color coding make a lot of sense, NOT.

Make a drawing, will never happen again.

What bothers me is that I was absolutely certain that the hoses were hooked up correctly!

I've done this so many times in the past that I just hooked up the two hoses from memory with absolute certainty that these were the two hoses that I have always hooked up in the past. It wasn't a case of forgetting something, it was more a case of having a false memory. I was certain that it was hooked up right until it occurred to me to trace the two hoses back to the hydraulic cylinder.

The next time I will trace the two hoses from the cylinder back to the connections on the tractor.

Mike.
