I have a new 2013 J.D. x738 On cold start the engine runs ruff and misses for the first 4-5 minutes .Once warm it runs fine.
I had a 2003 X585 with the same engine that never had this problem. Nothing like spending thousands of dollars to buy problems.. Has anyone else experience this problem with the Kawasaki engines.

First, welcome to TBN. Sorry you're having issues.
Contact your selling dealer; sounds like the cold start circuit is not working. It shouldn't run rough, and certainly not for that long. Could be a defective cold start injector/circuit temp sensor, etc. Should be easy for dealer to fix under your warranty. just make sure you don't have a rodent nest in your air filter assembly, or similar. Mice can screw up anything if they find a way in.... What do you do exactly when starting it cold?

I follow the procedure as per the manual. Turn key on , wait till the self test lights go out and put throttle half way.
Never had any problems with my X585. I will let the dealer look at it once it stops snowing . Just finished plowing 2fee of snow from yesterdays storm. Thanks for the input

No problem! FWIW, I went to Bard as undergrad, lived in Red Hook for a while. Used to go to Foster's in Rhinebeck a lot to eat.
Tonight I got real stuck with my tractor, in the ditch and off the road. Gonna have to try again tomorrow to get out.
Where's your Deere dealer?
