I have an XJ2025 with a MMM. Has anyone fabricate some type of contraption to quickly and easily mount on the top of the mower deck to lift it with a set of forks and move it around or stack it on an implement rack when not in use. I’ve been taking mine on and off when not using and it really isn’t a big deal. But when off the tractor it’s usually in the way and it sure isn’t easy to move around since the wheels have to be lowered all the way when driving off.

Get your self some block & tackle drag it over
near a wall and let it hang out of the way
Amazon about $30

That’s the thing…..I don’t want to drag it, I want to carry it with the forks. I think I’ll have to fabricate me an easy way to lift it or resort to a chain and hooks.

Well, here is a simple solution I came up with. It was cheap using repurposed 2x4’s. If I would have bought new ones, I might have needed to sold a kidney.

On your MMM decks, and satisfaction.......moving about being one point of contest in the satisfaction area being discussed in this thread, so here are a couple of questions:

1. The MMM in the picture seems to have a nice smooth flow chamber for clippings to be swept out and not stick to the interior of the mower...a big problem I'm having with 3 blade mowers to 61" (non MMM) especially with wet, thick spring grasses. How do you handle cutting chamber hygene?

2. Is the MMM a drive over and/or how big of a deal is it to mount once under the tractor...assuming on a shop concrete floor?

3. Since the FEL hydraulics are more than ample to lift the front tires off the ground (giving one room to move things about below), do you/can you just roll the deck up to the side of the tractor and manually just push it under (assuming it's not "drive over")?

Really appreciate your comments as I have had it with riding mowers on my place due to deck hygene and rough terrain problems. I think the longer wheelbase, larger tires, and added weight of the/to the 225 series tractor may be just what I have been looking for. I assume the 25 hp handles a 5' deck adequately.

Why not put the forks underneath it and lift from the bottom of the deck?
When you drop the wheels to the lowest position (as the manual describes) for driving over the deck, the deck itself is sitting flush with the ground, no room for a fork.

Try it, you'd be surprised...forks are made to "get under things".

With your setup it will make for easier deck cleaning and blade replacement without the forks being in the way.
