XR3135 regeneration time?

What's the regeneration time for the XR3135 diesel engine??

Should be around 40 hours, I think. I'm on hour 23 so I haven't been thru a regen yet. Just having fun and enjoying every minute! Not sure about the duration of a regen either. Hopefully, will between 1/2-1 hour.

Thanks Doofy!! How do you handle the regeneration period?? I have a lot of hills and I'm curious about how the tractor operates during the regeneration? Is there a warning?

T REX, not really sure about power loss, since I haven't gone thru a regen yet. Some folks complain of a big power loss and some don't. Try the "search" function at the top right of the page and it should pull up several threads on the subject.

My XR3135HC went thru the first regen around 50 hours, I was doing loader work and did not notice any loss of power. I was running it around 1800 RPM and it did boost up to around 2200 for around 10 minutes. Now I have around 190 hours and I noticed it went thru another regen at 170 hours and I was running the backhoe, once again it boosted up to 2200 and I did not notice any change other than engine speed. I am sure it has gone thru other regens, probably when I was running my chipper off the PTO, so didn't notice anything. there are lights on the dash that come on during the regen, but I just ignore them and keep on working, doing whatever I was doing.

My 6168 regenerated at 48 hours. I was plowing and running at 2300
RPMs. My first indication was a funny smell reminiscent of melting wires, so i stopped and then noticed the regeneration light on. There is also a light next to that one that comes on at the same time to tell you that the exhaust is hot. Other than that, I didn’t notice any loss of power, and I was working it pretty good.

3Lfarms, Good to know there is not a marked loss of power. Approximately how long was the regen?

It was only about 15 to 20 minutes. If it wasn’t for the funny smell, I wouldn’t have noticed at all.
