XR4150H Failure codef04

My LS has been great, I just passed 200 hours.Wouldn't run yesterday and ad a fail code Fo4 1076. dealer sent the mechanic out and it was diagnosed as a bad solenoid in the fuel system. He had to unplug the solenoid to get the tractor to run enough to load it on the trailer.

Is this a freak occurrence or has others had this issue?
Is a service call under warranty too or am out of pocket on that?

From the manual, it looks like 1076 is related to the inlet metering valve, IMV, which controls pressure to the rail and is connected to the fuel pump. This seems to be used to avoid having a large volume of fuel return to the tank (and heat), but still retain pressure in the rail. Looks like it failed closed/open or is getting a signal to perform in a manner the ECU doesn't like.

UPDATE.
Dealer put another solenoid on the tractor it worked until the second time they tried to run it. New fuel pump ordered and on its way.

From what I can get out of the SM it says it will blink on the LCD display, "1076" every 1/2 second. These are "suspect parameter codes" (SPC) and each one of these may have multiple "diagnostic trouble codes" (DTC) related to them. Need a communications module connected to ECU to get the DTC code.



Could be all wrong, but that's how I read it. Is this what happened?

or was the F04 displayed also? i.e. F04 1076

that may relate to P0004?

Yes, this is how it displayed. Dealer mechanic brought out his pc and hooked it up to confirm. Had to detach a wire to get the tractor to run enough to load it on the trailer.

What did he plug it into on the tractor? I'd be interested to know if it is similar to the OBDII protocol for highway vehicles. Perhaps LS would sell the software and interface for the diy mechanic in the future.

Behind the lower dash panel is a plug in interface. Yes very similar to OBDII
