My dealer, who is also a Woods dealer, made his own package for me. I got Woods box blade and tiller with my tractor. Cant go wrong with that!

What size tiller did you end up with. Planning on some green manure planting this spring at my place. Figuring to till the soil and work in some compost as soon as snow lifts. Looking at a couple of 6’ HD tillers and wondering if I ought to go 7’

I have used it for tilling my garden plot, mixing in horse manure and straw, etc. It cuts down about 7 inches but takes a couple of passes to get that deep. Thats probably my soil though, lots of clay. I also tilled a meadow area for my neighbor, maybe 3 acres. We planted a deer food plot there. Did one pass and let it sit for a few weeks, then another pass before seeding. The food plot is amazing!

Good info, thanks. I think I’ll end up with a 6’ as well.

Based on my septic work from 2 years back, I don’t think I’ll need as many passes to turn to depth, we’ll see.

I’ll probably order a tiller end of February or March since I likely will be able to till in March or early April.

On another note-got the Lee Agra Farmhand quick hitch for the beast just after Christmas-hope to get it on the machine this weekend and see how it will work with (and affect PTO shaft length) for my motley menagerie of attachments. I’ll post some photos if I can remember to take some!

I got a quote from RCO tractor in the Austin TX area last fall for a XR4155HC, 6 mower, post hole digger and a 20 10000# trailer for $33,400 out the door no tax ag exempted.
It痴 on the top of my list for a new tractor next year. Only better deal I found was Branson 5220C same package for $32,000 out the door.
Both are great packages and torn between the two.
